Rally for Recovery Day 2017

Join us and all of Utah this Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 9AM to 4PM for National Rally for Recovery Day, hosted by The Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness (USARA). It will serve as the culmination of the many activities that take place during Recovery Month in September.

Every September, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) promotes Recovery Month to increase awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use issues and celebrate communities. Salt Lake City, Utah has been selected as the national hub site for the Faces and Voices of Recovery and SAMHSA Recovery Month Rally.

Live bands, dignitaries from the national recovery movement, public officials, persons in recovery, families, community supporters, and friends of recovery will join the celebration.

The National Recovery Day Rally brings together a diverse set of stakeholders to celebrate the over 23 million people in long-term recovery and to bring awareness to some of the most pressing challenges facing communities across Utah and our nation. Partnerships with people in recovery, family groups, treatment providers, foundations, membership organizations, faith communities and business communities help to make the event a strong local, state and national effort. There will be several exhibit booths at The Gallivan, surrounding the stage where all the speakers and performances will take place. Tiki Multimedia will have our own booth this year, so be sure to come by and support us as we support all our clients, and all of those who show people recovery is possible!

Also being held is the Walk for Addiction Recovery. Join the thousands of people who will walk through the streets of downtown Salt Lake City on September 9, 2017, from 10AM to 11AM to show support for our strong and vibrant recovery community. Join this walk by registering using the link below. The walk begins and ends at the Gallivan Center and registration is FREE. There will be shirts available for purchase at the event. Day-of registration starts at 9 AM.
